Projects

Construction is a three phase project. Each phase will be 35% of the total project. We don’t know exactly what the final date of each phase will terminate, that will depend on the amount of donations that are received. PuentesDR appreciates any amount that you can give to help us reach our goal. PuentesDR is very excited for future activities for this building, but in order for that to become reality, we need your help. Samuel and Yoselin Gomez have been heading up this project and inviting new children each week and now it exceeds 43! PuentesDR is so blessed by the children in Guatemala and what they are doing there for His kingdom! Each Saturday they meet in the backyard of Samuel and Yoselin and they worship with music, hear a Bible lesson and have snacks. We hope to extend this project to helping families of those in attendance, and home are being visited, with food provided if they are in need. There is a lot of need in this community, our prayer is that as they meet they will feel God's love for them in a tangible way.

\ The Peña family has lived in an abandoned hotel for quite some time. It was a dark and small place for this family of 5 little girls. Would you help to improve their living conditions where they are safe and have space for the small baby Sarai? They are currently living with their grandfather in. a tiny cinder block home and are in need of a lot more than their grandfather can provide.

Being a sponsor for a child or the PuentesDR family is an amazing opportunity, but to actually meet the child you sponsor  is priceless! Making a "Mission Trip Donation" gives sponsors the opportunity to go and spend time building relationships with those they sponsor and to see first hand the difference their sponsorship makes. These  trips happen once a year and are open to current sponsors or anyone who would like to learn more about the ways PuentesDR is working to break the cycle of poverty in the Dominican Republic. PuentesDR also provides opportunities for churches to send teams to serve in Dominican Republic communities in a variety of ways, including building and remodeling houses, leading Vacation Bible School, visiting sponsored children, meet your sponsored child, and witness the love of Christ by building relationships. If you are a sponsor or would like to help  someone take a trip, know that your donation will be a treasured gift!
