Our Campaignss
July 2025, a team combined of both Americans and Dominicans travelled to Guatemala guided by the Holy Spirit to observe and visit empoverished areas and discern His will to hep=lp in that endeavor. Through that trip, there were water filters donated, food bags handed out and as a result of that trip have been specifically able to help Doña Chanita, a 99 year old widow that lived in horrible conditions affecting her health and well- being. As we thought about how we an help, were able to help her get a new wood-burning stove, add some electricity so she an have light, clean out her home infested with rats and clean her walls of mold. Local help gave her instruction step by step of how to manage her lifestyle to be healthy, cleaning her up and washing her hair as well.
In the future, we would love to help in cases such as this, ultimately affecting the communities of El Gorrion and San Miguel. There is a lot of need for proper education and nutrition there for the children. There will be Bible studies held weekly in San Miguel Milpas Altas and in the near future, kids will become sponsored as well. We are in need of materials and chairs for the Bible studies to take place. We see an extension of Puentes to be called PUENTESGuatemala and would love your help in that endeavor.
